Lake Burtnieks
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
AirVuz contributor and pilot Nils Sokolovs brings us this excellent drone video of Latvia's Lake Burtnieks. It's the fourth-largest lake in this Baltic republic, a country famous for its lakes and wetlands. Burtnieks is situated in the northern part of the country, not far from the Estonian border. Stretching 13 km (around eight mi.) in length, the lake has an average depth of only about three meters or around ten ft.. Home to 17 different species of fish, the lake is part of the North Vidzeme Biosphere Reserve.
