Lake Plastira in Greece

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :

Plastira is a major artificial reservoir lake in Central Greece.  Created by a dam on the Tavropos River, it's located in the Thessaly region north of Athens.  Designed primarily for flood control and hydroelectricity generation, the reservoir also provides drinking water to the nearby city of Karditsa.  The dam was inaugurated in 1960 following a multi-year construction and reservoir-filling period.   Seen here in this wintertime drone video by DimiMaran, the lake has become a significant tourist attraction.
