Every weekend in mid July, Sequim Washington holds it's local Lavender Festival in which the local farmers and gardeners entertain the locals as well as visitors from all over to show off and to sell their goods. Lavender grows prolifically in this climate and the areas near and in the Sequim Valley. With the recent events of this year, the festival is running at a minimum. To get my dose of lavender, I visited a local lavender and you-pick berry farm that I frequent. Thanks to Graysmarsh Lavender and Berry Farm and management for letting me access their beautiful property lying on the edge of the Strait of Juan de Fuca.
