"Le Creux du Van", sometimes called the swiss "Grand Canyon", is a well known cliff located in "Le Val de Travers", near Neuchâtel. It is not a former volcano, it is not the impact crater of a meteorite but the result of millions of years of erosion. It's about 1400m (~4600ft) wide and 200m (~650ft) deep. Enjoy!
