Madeira - Pico do Arieiro

Check out this fantastic drone video of a mountain on the Portuguese island of Madeira, compliments of AirVuz contributor hangtime FPV. The video was filmed over the Pico do Areeiro, which has a peak altitude of just under 6k ft. (a little over 1.8k m) and is the third-highest on the island. The mountain is located roughly in the middle of Madeira, due north from the capital city of Funchal on its southern coast. It also serves as the starting point for hikes to Pico Ruivo, the tallest mountain on Madeira.

Home to one of Europe's most breathtaking mountain trails, it offers panoramic views across the island and, on the clearest days, all the way to Porto Santo. But its most magical feature is the endless sea of clouds that often transforms this summit into a world above the sky.
