Madman Across the Water | Turnagain Arm, AK

Flying over the tidal mud flats of Turnagain Arm at low tide. Rivulets meander over the glacial silt forming layers of color and texture that are covered up twice a day by the high tide. Although it is possible to walk out on the tidal flats, it is considered fairly dangerous. The surface can be solid in spots, and quicksand in other spots and it changes from day to day. The tide comes in so quickly that people have died by getting caught in the silty sand and drowned when the tide comes in. A downed quad out there would likely be unrecoverable. This is one of the first flights with this FR7 quad. This quad is designed for fast, long-range flights. It carries dual 6S batteries with 7 inch props. The average speed here is about 65 mph.
