Madone (Madone di Mergoscia), which is located between the Maggia and Verzasca Valleys in the southern (primarily Italian-speaking) canton of Ticino. The mountain is part of the Lepontine Alps, a subchain of the Alps which is located along the Swiss-Italian border. Madone has a summit elevation of 6.7k ft. above sea level, or a bit over 2k m.
