The Cliffs of Moher are one of the great natural wonders of Ireland, and attract over 1.5 million visitors per year.  They are located one of the peninsulas of the western part of the island on the Wild Atlantic Way, in County Claire.  The cliffs run for a stretch of about 13 km (around 8 mi.) and reach a height of up to almost 215 meters (about 710 ft.).  The cliffs have appeared as filming locations in numerous movies, probably most famously as the Cliffs of Insanity in the 1987 cult classic, Princess Bride.
