Check out this stunning drone video of the Italian city of Matera, compliments of AirVuz contributor and pilot Brand07.  Settled over 10,000 years ago, the city was founded during the Roman Republic period in 250 BC.  The capital of its namesake province as well as the region of Basilicata (the "ankle" of Italy), Matera is situated in a gorge of the Gravina River.  The historical and cultural heart of the city is the Sassi di Matera, which consists of the Sasso Caveoso and Sasso Barisano Districts.
