Meet Coco, the Bonito!

 "Coco" as I named her is preying on a school of menhaden fish. This is the calm before  a recent storm, as the waters are crystal clear in the NY Atlantic Ocean. I followed this bonito for a good 8 minutes mesmerized by her movements and interactions. The menhaden bait ball fish tightened their school and quickly evaded the striped bass in glimmering unison. Taken just off the coast of Southampton, NY USA
