Minneapolis City Hall

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :

Here's a bird's eye view of City Hall in Minneapolis, Minnesota, courtesy of contributor gopherdrone.  The landmark building on downtown's 5th Street was completed in 1909 and was the city's tallest until topped by the Foshay Tower in 1929.  Its most famous occupant was a fiery orator named Hubert Humphrey: elected Minneapolis mayor in 1945, he won a US Senate seat 1948 and was elected as Lyndon Johnson's Vice President in 1964.  In 1968, he narrowly lost the Presidential election to Richard M. Nixon.
