This is Monsanto, the most Portuguese village in Portugal and one of the oldest.

Here there are vestiges of prehistory, barbarians, Arab Romans, Jews, Templars and Viriato, the king of the Portuguese, also passed through here.

Monsanto is located in Idanha A Nova, Castelo Branco District.

His castle was chosen for filming in the Game Of Thrones prequel, House Of Dragon.
