Monte Sella

The ridge of the Sella is extremely rugged and precipitates with very steep slopes towards both the Arnétola and Frigido valleys. The ridge itself is a demanding itinerary particularly in winter while the ascent to Monte Sella is relatively simple, but always to be considered with respect. The double peak of Monte Sella proper is very panoramic. The extraction of marble has profoundly transformed the slopes of the mountain to the sea, leaving significant evidence of industrial archeology and interesting opportunities for the curious and accustomed hiker to the steep climbs of the vie di lizza.
