Monte Sighignola, Italy

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : Contributor Kpax created this beautiful drone video of Mt. Sighignola in the far northern reaches of Italy. It's part of the Lugano Prealps, a sort of "foothills" subrange of the Alps. The mountain is located in the Lombardy region, near the border with the Swiss canton of Ticino. The mountain has a peak elevation of about 1.3k meters (around 4.3k ft.) above sea level. As you'll see in the video, the mountain affords excellent views of Lake Lugano, which actually sits on the Swiss-Italian border.

Sighignola is a mountain of the Lugano Prealps, located on the border between the Italian region of Lombardy and the Swiss canton of Ticino. A panoramic terrace just below the summit, and directly on the Italian side of the border, provides extensive views especially to the west, over Lake Lugano and the city of Lugano, to the Alps. For this reason, the site is often known as the Balcone d'Italia.
