In 1922 Sacadura Cabral and Gago Coutinho started the first aerial crossing of the South Atlantic on a aircraft baptized Lusitânia, a Fairey III-D MkII seaplane specifically outfitted for the journey. This monument is located in Belém, Lisbon, near Belém Tower. This is a very touristic location, but as you can see, is empty now because of Covid-19.
