One year ago this week, we shot this video recording catastrophic flooding along the Louisiana/Texas border. A 186,000 acre man-made lake called Toledo Bend had exceeded flood stage due to heavy rains and so at the lake's dam spillway, for three days straight, more than 200,000 cubic feet of water was released every second, much to the dismay of the residents downstream all the way to the Gulf of Mexico. For comparison's sake, some 100,000 cubic feet per second flows at Niagara Falls.
