Moritzburg Hunting Lodge - a fairytale castle in winter
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Moritzburg Castle is one of the great landmarks of Saxony, a state of Northern Germany. Seen in this excellent wintertime drone video by AirVuz contributor and pilot Mischa Haubold, it's located on an artificial lake island about a half hour drive north of the Saxon capital city of Dresden. Originally built in the middle 16th century as a hunting lodge for the then-Duke of Saxony, both the castle and the surrounding grounds were heavily modified in the 17th and 18th centuries, during which time the castle took its current Baroque style.

The fairy tale "Three Hazelnuts for Cinderella" was filmed in the studio, but also on beautiful locations in Germany and Czech Republic shot. The backdrop for the Prince's castle in the film was Moritzburg Castle in the winter of 1972/1973 about 15 kilometers northwest of Dresden on an artificial island in the lake. Always in the cold season (unfortunately not like now in the Corona pandemic) invites the dreamlike hunting lodge August the Strong to its popular winter exhibition, to discover the magic of one of the most beautiful fairy tale films at the authentic location. Here you can find out everything about the Experienced Czech-German cult strips from 1973.
