Mount Coglians, with its 2780 meters, is the highest peak of Friuli-Venezia Giulia and of the Carnic Alps.
During World War I the summit was permanently occupied by the Italian troops, who used it as an observation post. On top you can still see the remains of some posts dating back to the World War I.
