Muskoka | DJI Mavic 2 Pro

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : Top contributor Daniel Molina used a DJI Mavic Pro 2 drone to create this beautiful video of a wintertime landscape in Ontario, Canada. It was shot in the area of Muskoka, which is in the central part of Canada's most populous province. Muskoka is located a bit over a two hour drive northwest of Toronto. It is a quintessential Canadian "cottage country" region, dotted with over 1,600 lakes. It sits to the east of Georgia Bay, a northern extension of Lake Huron, one of the five Great Lakes.

This short film showcases my favourite place in Ontario, Muskoka. The beauty and drama involved in the cold weather just always amazed me. Winter is definitely my favourite season! Muskoka is a regional municipality in Central Ontario, Canada. It extends from Georgian Bay in the west, to the northern tip of Lake Couchiching in the south, to the western border of Algonquin Provincial Park in the east. A two-hour drive north of Toronto, Muskoka spans 6,475 km2 (2,500 sq mi). Muskoka has some 1,600 lakes, making it a popular cottaging destination. In this video you can see places from Huntsville, all the to the roads of Algonquin. This footage was captured at the very end of the 2019 winter, with the big help of the Mavic 2 Pro. The Mavic 2 Pro was a spectacular drone through the filming... it's a tiny but tough drone that I am loving at the moment. I flew in hard snowy conditions and the drone was easily keeping up with it. I am definitely going to work in another slower project showing how mesmerizing some of the landscapes can be. The cold is beautiful!
