Mística Madeira

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : Explore the Portguese island of Madeira in this excellent drone video by AirVuz contributor Cinelifter Media, which incorporates some outstanding FPV drone footage as well as ground camera shots. The first part of the video was filmed in the island's interior, most of which is covered by mountains and/or rain forests. At about the 1:35 mark, you'll head for the island's coast, and at 1:48 you'll see the iconic village of Seixal, on the northern coast. Further on, you'll see some epic FPV shots skimming over Madeira's mountain ridges.

Madeira had been on my bucket list for a long time. The island is simply incredibly beautiful and offers a unique flying experience for drone pilots. We spent 10 days on the island and often set off at 5 o'clock in the morning to go hiking and film sunsets. Sometimes you have to be really lucky with the weather, the island is very different depending on where you are. Down below the sun is shining, but after an hour's drive into the mountains there are only thick clouds and strong winds. I had 7inch longrange FPV drone and Mavic 3 Pro Cine, both survived the weather conditions very well. The absolute highlight for us was the mystic Fanal forest. There is an incredible atmosphere there, if there are elves and dwarves anywhere, it's there!
