"Nomads" Project Aerial Reel
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
At first glance, this may seem like a beautiful demo reel that focuses on multiple landscapes. Although that is true, pilot baikenxx had much deeper intentions with this piece. He and a group visited Mongolia, Iran, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, and Germany as part of a “Nomads” project. The project was an effort to show the lives of descendants of the nomad group, the Kazakhs. Kazakhs are a Turkic ethnic group who now mainly inhabit the Ural Mountains of Central Asia, but who spread there reaches over the last few centuries.

Last year, we visited Mongolia, Iran, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan and Germany as part of the Nomads project. The purpose of the project is to show the lives of the descendants of nomads - Kazakhs, whose ancestors for various reasons moved to Western Altai in 1920-1930 during the Soviet era. From there, overcoming all kinds of difficulties, they left these lands in order to preserve their family, language and religion. Currently, the descendants of these people live in Central Asia, the Middle East and Western Europe.
