Novosibirisk is surprisingly unknown for being Russia's third largest city and by far the largest urban area in the region of Siberia.  The city was founded in the late 19th century at a highly strategic location - the spot where the Trans-Siberian Railway crossed the Ob River, one of the three giant waterways which drain Siberia into the Arctic Ocean.   Contributor ZURG used his drone to give you a bird's eye view of Novosibirsk, one of the world's fastest-growing cities in the early 20th century.
