Wättingeströmmen or Nyfors as it came to be named after the paper mill that was established on the site in the middle of the 19th century, is located at the Tyresö-Flaten outlet. Downstream is Lake Albysjön. The fall height is about five meters and is one of the highest waterfalls in the region. The environment around the rapids is partly transformed and culturally influenced after 500 years of industrial history on the site. The rapids are regulated today. The area is surrounded by deciduous vegetation and steep cliffs.
