AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : Contributor obendrohne created this beautiful drone video of one of the gems of the Istrian Peninsula in the Adriatic Sea: the Croatian fishing town of Rovinj. It's located roughly in the middle of the western coastline of Istria, an arrow-shaped landmass which is the Adriatic's largest peninsula. Rovinj was originally an island, but was connected to the mainland during Roman times. It continued to be an important town during a later period when it represented one of the Venetian Empire's key outposts.

The city is home to around 14,000 inhabitants and is located directly on the sea, which surrounds it on two sides.
