ODYSSEY [ An Exploration to the North. Hokkaido, Japan ]

A big island located in the north of Japan, Hokkaido. This place was once known as the Ezo land, but since the political reform that occurred in the late 1800s, it was renamed as Hokkaido . And this year, it is the 150 years anniversary since it has elapsed after Ezo land and been changed to Hokkaido. I went on a journey that followed the historical footprints that ancient roads, indigenous peoples and pioneers walked back 150 years ago or before. As I continued this journey through the four seasons, the things I saw were the dynamical, changing and richly beautiful land of the North.
