The law says: "No quad left behind!" - but this time there was no help :( I could easily say "No way baby!", but getting great view of sea through the trees of park-forest Komrčar on Island of Rab was so tempting... And little inattention cost me a whoop... I obviously get to a "dead zone" (I assume all signals weakened because I went rather far into trees and tree canopies were very thick) so it started to drift, video went very bad and reacting to controls started to delay a lot so finally I bumped to some branches and crashed... After intensive search, by giving short burst of throttle and tracking sound of buzzing we heard, we eventually spotted it at the bottom of a 6-7 meters (19 - 22 feet) deep abyss. It was stuck at the top of a small bush and between two stones. But it was impossible to fly it up... It was too far to see, so I assume props were tangled in grass because it twitched a bit on throttle, but could not fly. And, also, we could not go down to pick it up because it was at the bottom of almost 90 degree narrow cliff, reachable only from one point - the path above (you see it in video) via rope by doing some climbing "stunts"... And there is no way I could call Croatian mountain rescue service for this... :). So, after we unsuccessfully tried all we could to lift it in the air, we drained battery for safety (using full throttle for couple of minutes until voltage finally dropped below 2V and it simply stopped responding) and left it there... But I had two more woops with me and shoot some other (I hope interesting) shots around old town Rab, park-forest etc. "Stay tuned" - I hope it's coming soon (when I find time to edit them :) ) Music: One Way Whoop / by Ben Shepard Downloaded from www.tinywhoop.com/pages/music Hardware and software: Lost whoop - 65mm 7x16 brushed: Makerfire Micro Whoop frame (blue one) Makerfire Tiny Lite FC with modded NFE Silverware Happymodel 7x16 17500kv motors (angled to reduce yaw washouts) 2x Gemfan 31mm 3 bladed props + 2x B03 PRO 31mm 4 bladed props (mix for better grip and still good flying time) LST-S2 camera - with sponge canopy and modded antenna (monopole) GNB 250mAh HV 1S Radio: Devo 7e modded Goggles: Skyzone 03O - modded (added lenses from glasses over diopters for my old eyes :) ) and with Menace Patch and Menace Bandicoot antennas (it works fine for my style and range) Recorded on Skyzone built-in DVR, 2021-08-08 (08.08.2021)
