I wanted to do a range test on the new DJI Phantom 4 Pro. The Pro now supports both 2.4Ghz and 5.8Ghz and a maximum range of 4.3 miles. I flew out to 19,000 feet (3.6 miles or 5.79 kilometers) and for the most part the connection was rock solid. The only times it dropped off were because I pointed the controller down towards the sand instead of holding it so the antennas were perpendicular to the water. When I held it in the correct position, the connection was very strong. Super impressed so far with the Phantom 4 Pro!
