Mexico's Playa del Carmen is part of the Mayan Riviera, a stretch of Caribbean beach front interspersed with Mayan ruins that runs south of Cancun in the state of Quintana Roo.  A small fishing village as recently as a few decades ago, Playa del Carmen has emerged as a major tourist destination, as well as the main departure point for excursions to the nearby island of Cozumel.  Check out Playa del Carmen from above in this video by Luvs2Wander, which was shot with a mix of drone and ground camera footage.
