Paleokastritsa is one of the most famous resorts on the island of Corfu. It is located on the west coast of the island, 30 km from the capital Kerkyra. The coast is rich in rock formations, caves and small beaches with incredible views. The population is about 4500 inhabitants. Above Paleokastritsa is the small village of Lakones, from where a phenomenal view of the entire coast in the area is revealed.
Full-day excursions by boat or boat are available to unspoiled beaches in the area - for example Stellari Beach and Paradise Beach.
About 7 km above Paleokastritsa, a little after Lakones, is the so-called Bela Vista - a place with a panoramic view of the entire coast in the area. One of the important Byzantine castles - Algelokastro - is located near Paleokastritsa.
