Palm Jebel Ali - Dubai

Around the turn of the milennium, the Gulf coast city of Dubai conceived of a plan to create over 500 km (around 320 mi.) of new coastline by building three giant artificial islands in the Jumeira coastal district.  Only the first of these projects - Palm Jumeirah - was actually completed; the other two projects - Palm Jebel Ali and Palm Deira - have been on hold since the 2008 financial crisis.  In this drone video by Moadh Bukhash, you'll get a nice aerial view of the Palm Jebel Ali project, which was to have been the largest of the three.
