Phu Quoc Island - The Most Beautiful Island In Vietnam
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Check out this stunning drone video from Vietnam's Phú Quốc Island, compliments of contributor Dang Cine. Vietnam's largest island, Phú Quốc is located off the southwestern tip of Vietnam in the Gulf of Thailand. With a permanent population of just over 100k, the island has become a growing tourist destination since the Vietnamese government started allowing 30 day visa-free visits several years ago. It's situated just to the south of Cambodia's tropical islands which are enjoying a similar ascendancy.

Phu Quoc, also known as the jade island, is the largest island in Vietnam, also the largest island in a population of 22 islands, located in the Gulf of Thailand. Phu Quoc island and other islands form the Phu Quoc island district of Kien Giang province. The entire island district has a total area of 589.23 km² (according to 2005 land data), approximately the size of the island of Singapore in the 1960s when it was not encroaching on the sea. [1] Duong Dong Town, located in the northwest, is the capital of the island district. Phu Quoc is 120 km from Rach Gia and 45 km from Ha Tien. In 2006, the Kien Giang Coastal and Oceanic Biosphere Reserve, including the district, was recognized by UNESCO as a biosphere reserve.
