The video was filmed over and around Piaynemo Island, which forms part of the Raja Ampat archipelago. Piaynemo is much smaller than the four main islands of Raja Ampat, which consists of over 1,500 islands and cays (many of which are uninhabited) in the province of Southwest Papua, west of the giant island of New Guinea in the eastern part of the massive Indonesian archipelago.

This view is why I travelled something like 26 hrs to get here. I booked a week at a tiny homestay hoping for a weather window and got it. Now back on the mainland after sailing through 9 foot waves in an open skiff to leave the island. Good thing everything is in drybags or pelican cases. Much more to come and videos as I get back to a better connection.
