Pillsbury "A" Mill, St. Anthony Main

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :

In 1880, Washburn-Crosby opened its "A" flour mill on the banks of the Mississippi River in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  Replacing an earlier mill which had exploded in 1878, it was billed as the world's largest.  However, in 1881, its arch-rival Pillsbury opened a larger mill on the other side of the river, which you'll see in this drone video by gopherdrone.  Washburn had the last laugh though: reorganized as General Mills in the 1920's, it moved to suburban Golden Valley in the 1950's and acquired Pillsbury in 2001.
