Plane in forest

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :

Flying over a forest in Central Greece, AirVuz contributor pasxos30 managed to aerially film a most unusual sight: a retired jet fighter.  It's a Lockheed F-104G Starfighter, one of the most widely-used supersonic fighter-bombers deployed by NATO during the Cold War.  This plane was one of nearly 150 F-104 variants delivered to the Hellenic Air Force beginning in the mid-1960's.  It's parked on blocks in the woods near the village of Kapnochori in Phthiotis, one of the regional units of Central Greece.
