Took the kids down to a local school playground and used the excuse to put some packs in on RC1. I just flashed, turned on RPM filter and flew with only adjusting FeedForward and my rates. It was super overfiltered, and as a result definitely had some propwash issues, but I wanted to get an idea of kind of the worst case scenario before I start tuning the filters. The new release of the configurator (10.6.0 beta) is introducing some pretty awesome options for tuning via a few general purpose sliders that seems like an interesting option for people disinclined to numbers :D I'm going to give a shot at tuning via the sliders trying to kind of ignore the numbers just to get a feel for how the new system works. I"m definitely glad the numbers are still there though, as I'm a bit of a numbers guy myself, hah! Still I want to have an idea how the new system works as I'm helping folks out. Also upgraded my X10S to 2.3 nightlies. Supposedly a latency reduction, but with all the filter I couldn't tell too much :D I think once I get things tuned it might be more noticeable. Also I think the X10S wasn't hit as hard on some of the latency issues under 2.2 as some of the other radios were. The sticks don't use an analog pin to begin with, they communicate through PWM if I remember correctly. This spot is pretty slick, I haven't flown here before. There were a few other families with kids there, so I had to avoid some areas while the kids were playing. I almost didn't post this as there wasn't anything particularly interesting about the flights. It was fun anyway though! Just ignore the shakes from the super aggressive filters :P I'll have to try to come back at at time when there's fewer kids around other than mine, though it's a pretty popular spot on the weekends!
