The pristine Tallebudgera Gorge Falls was essentially unknown until fairly recently. It is a rainforest treasure locked away in a valley behind the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. It is truly rich in magnificent untouched rainforest and pristine mountain streams. And yet only 15kms away from Tallebudgera Gorge Falls is the beachfront city of Gold Coast, with almost 750,000 people. The water catchment of Tallebudgera Creek backs onto Mount Cougal, which is a mountainous section of Springbrook National Park, and part of the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage Area. Mount Cougal's twin peaks have a significant place in stories told by the Yugambeh people, who have inhabited the areas mountains and valleys for thousands of years. The park protects valuable wildlife habitat and a diverse range of animals. It is also the most easterly known location of the very rare blue Lamington spiny crayfish. If you do this hike, please leave this area the same as you arrived - Pristine. Cameras ; DJI Mini 2, Autel Evo 2 Pro and IPhone 11.
