REAL DE CATORCE

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :

Award winning contributor Postandfly created this beautiful aerial video of the "ghost town" of Real de Catorce, once one of the great mining towns of Central Mexico.  Situated in the state of San Luis Potosi, it's roughly in the middle of the great triangle formed by Mexico City, Monterrey, and Guadalajara.  The town was founded as a result of a large nearby silver discovery in the late 18th century, and at its height it was one of the biggest sources for the highly silver-dependent Spanish Empire.
