Radio Tower North Bay San Francisco film shoot April 2019 CA - HD 4k drone video

Working with a film production crew is hard work. Getting to the location well before dawn to setup is no easy task. However the rewards of seeing some amazing views of the North Bay at dawn is worth it. We also stayed until well after sunset to capture the warm light of the late afternoon and evening. After a long Saturday and Sunday of shooting, the film is complete. The footage used in this YouTube video is just from warming up and practicing with the drone. For the really good cinematic stuff you will have to see the film when it is released. You can walk to this place, but don't climb on the tower as this is private land and is an FCC registered tower. We needed permits, permission from the owner, keys to locked gates, insurance, and safety security people. The safety officer required us to have tower climbing training and equipment. As you can see in the footage everyone has a hardhat and climbing gear while on the tower. The cast is wearing their safety gear under their clothes. Good thing I had my hardhat, vest, and boots that I take to places like this. The DJI Phantom 4P performed well even with all the metal, power-lines, and the active tower about 400 yards away. I did put a bunch of hours on the drone over the two days of shooting. I have permission from the writer, director, and producer to use footage that will not be used in the film or affect the integrity of the film.
