At Reculver there was an important Roman fort. Today's towers were rebuilt in the 19th century when badly damage - they originate from a 12C church.

Botany Bay - gorgeous white cliffs - sport Neptune's Tower, a folly from the late 18th century.

St. Augustine's Cross was built 1884 to commemorate St. Augustine's landing in the year of 597.

Richborough fort was once close to the sea and an important harbour.
