Completed in 1940, the cantilever bridge spans the Brisbane River between the northern and southern suburbs of Australia's third-largest city, capital of the state of Queensland, and host of the 2032 Summer Olympics. With a total length of about 2.5k ft. (777 m), it is the longest bridge of its type in the country.
