Ryan takes on a familiar foe on their home turf. It's Eric Perkins' annual Mess Fest for the Pinky Swear Foundation at Minnesota Pro Paintball. Ryan and Perk battle it out on the 'Slopstacle' course in an epic duel of messy proportions. VIDEO TRANSCRIPT: Ryan Hoag: Two big personalities, somewhat competitive. I've seen you on the tennis court, hopefully your obstacle course skill set is a little better than that, and you don't end up with a blister full of feet. With a blister full of feet. If you're like me as a kid, Nickelodeon was one of my favorite TV shows, simply because the kids get to do the [00:00:30] coolest stuff. So it makes sense as a, somewhat young adult, that I would look into doing some adult style Nickelodeon fun. I got my friend Eric Perkins because he puts on this amazing charity event. Eric, what's this all about? Erick Perkins: Okay, so this is Perk's Pinky Swear Mess Fest, Ryan, and it's for Pinky Swear, which is a foundation, which helps kids with cancer. I mean bottom line and so this is kids out here running this giant obstacle course, or "slopstacle" course [00:01:00] as I like to call it and they're doing it for kids that can't be here and their families who are dealing with the atrocities of cancer. Ryan Hoag: We got two big kids in ourselves. Erick Perkins: Yeah, this is for the kids, but we're big kids at heart for sure, so let's go. Let's throw it down man. Ryan Hoag: This is for fun, so we're only going to judge on style, you okay with that? Erick Perkins: Oh, dude, I rock the style. Look at me right now. What? Come on [00:01:30] now. This is not dangerous, this is not, hardly scary so we got to just put our own spin on it. Go big or go home. Okay bro? Speaker 2: Are you guys going? Ryan Hoag: Yeah. Erick Perkins: Yeah. Can we go? Speaker 2: Go right ahead. Ryan Hoag: Age before beauty. Speaker 2: Age before beauty. Beauty before age. Erick Perkins: I [00:02:00] was expecting so much more. Ryan Hoag: It's going down. Perk, very disappointing. 1-0. I definitely beat Perkins on that one. He went for a 720 and I went for the star jump. Perfected it. [00:02:30] Taking commanding lead. Our next obstacle is the giant air slide. [00:03:00] Now we head to the treacherous tunnels of mud. [00:03:30] Perk realizes he needs to go all out to break his losing streak. (laughing) Up [00:04:00] next is the jello pit, but not the kind you eat. [00:04:30] Perk gets the point here because he was obviously more hungry. With the score tied, we arrive at the slackline. But [00:05:00] it proved to be too much for the both of us. We finally come to the last event - the "Slop n Slide". With the score still tied, it was winner take [00:05:30] all. With the last minute impromptu 360, I slide ahead on the scoreboard. Victory! Just finished competition style with my boy Erick Perkins. [00:06:00] An amazing day for a better cause. Who won? Erick Perkins: I will suck up some humility and say that I got beat by Ryan's Ridiculous, legit, because I want the bottom line and so. Let's hug it out. Ryan Hoag: Pinky Swear Foundation. Much props to them. And thanks to Minnesota Pro Paintball for hosting this event. Ryan's Ridiculous gettin' messy. Til next time. Erick Perkins: You [00:06:30] got a little something right here. Ryan Hoag: Something right here?
