SUP surfing at −40°C

In Siberia, the cold drops to −40°C — and this is my favorite time of winter. Everything is covered in frost, a freezing haze hangs in the air. We seized the moment and went paddleboarding along one of the branches of the Ob River that doesn’t freeze even in such extreme cold.

The thermometer in the car read −39°C, but on the SUP it actually felt warmer, since the water temperature is around 0°C. Some of the participants even went for a swim.
