Top contributor vitaliy.karpovich has created some of the best aerial footage of St. Petersburg; his three first uploads, all from Russia's Second City, were all picked as finalists for the AirVuz Drone Video of the Week. In this outstanding video, he shows us the Saint Petersburg Sports and Concert Complex. Now in the process of demolition, the facility opened in 1979. On a site located just east of Moskovsky Victory Park in one of the city's southern districts, the venue was used primarily for concerts and tennis tournaments.

Sports and concert complex "Petersburg" is one of the largest sports facilities of this type in Europe. Ode to Soviet neo-constructivism of the 70s. On January 31, 2020, when the roof dismantling work was being carried out in a hurry, the building was almost completely destroyed.
