Santuario de la Mare de Dèu del Mont

The image of the Virgin that has given its name to the sanctuary and, by extension, on the mountain is, originally, a virgin found, which was already venerated, at least since 1222. The documentary evidence of this veneration and the existence of clerics to serve it, it has mistakenly assumed the primitive existence, on the top of the mountain, of a sanctuary prior to the present one, when the document refers to the cult carried out within the monastery of San Lorenzo del Mont.
