Schwerin is the capital of the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, which occupies the northeastern corner of the country. The most important cultural landmark of Schwerin is its castle, known variously as Schweiner Castle or Schweiner Palace. The castle, which is the centerpiece of the video, sits on one of the lakes surrounding the city.
