Sleepy Hollow, New York

Situated on the banks of the Hudson River, the town of North Tarrytown, New York was immortalized in a short story called "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow".  Published by Washington Irving in 1820, the story told of a decapitated spectre called the "headless horseman" who haunted the hills above the town.  The association was so enduring (and so helpful to property values) that the town voted to officially change its name to Sleepy Hollow in the 1990's.  Here it is from above in this drone video by Chris Bonano.
