Soulage Dams

The Soulages dam is built on the Gier at the exit of the town of Saint-Chamond (Loire), and used for the production of drinking water. It stands out from other dams in the south of the department by its architecture, a dam with multiple arches and concrete buttresses and not a gravity dam like most of the other constructions of the Saint-Etienne hydraulic system[1].
