Southdale Center — Edina, Minnesota
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
In 1956, Southdale Center became the first indoor shopping mall in the United States when it opened in the Minneapolis suburb of Edina, Minnesota. The mall has changed since then — the number of stores has grown from 72 to 120 — but it remains one of the more popular shopping destinations in the Twin Cities. It currently includes department store Macy's as well as many specialty stores, an AMC movie theater, several restaurants and more. It's currently the second-largest mall in the Twin Cities, after the Mall of America.
