Spreepark Berlin

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : Check out the eerie abandoned park in this aerial film by pilot ImpactFPV. Plänterwald, Germany’s Spreepark was opened in East Germany in 1969. The amusement park was the only constantly running entertainment park in the GDR during that time. In 1991, after Germany’s reunification, more attractions were added, eventually turning it into a more Western-style park. By 2002, the park had debt levels of over 11 million euro and was declared insolvent.

Spreepark is an abandoned amusement park in the north of the Plänterwald in the Berlin district Treptow-Köpenick (formerly part of the GDR-controlled East Berlin). It was also well known by its earlier name Kulturpark Plänterwald Berlin. https://goo.gl/3F8RGT With the plan to sneak in at some point, I confused the Spreepark with any other abandoned place. Guarded by a heavy duty fence and security/dogs (according to the signs) it seemed rather impossible to do. I decided to take a walk along the fence to sneak in with a drone or two. With a little bit of luck, I managed to join a guided tour and inspect the park from the inside.
