Stanserhorn 🚠 (Nidwald, Switzerland)

Stanserhorn is one of the most popular panoramic mountains in central Switzerland. Rising to 1,898 meters above sea level, it overlooks the town of Stans and offers breathtaking views of Lake Lucerne and many Alpine peaks. On clear days, visitors can enjoy a panorama stretching as far as the Bernese Oberland and the mountains of central Switzerland.

A highlight of any visit is the journey on the CabriO Stanserhorn, the world's first double-decker cable car with an open-air upper deck. Passengers can stand on the roof level and enjoy fresh mountain air and spectacular 360-degree views throughout the ride. Before boarding the cable car, visitors travel on a historic funicular railway from the town of Stans to the intermediate station.
